Last Time Miami Dolphins Won A Playoff Game: When Did Miami Last Win In The Postseason?

The Miami Dolphins are back in the postseason, but they face an uphill battle as their star QB Tua Tagovailoa will be out of the game due to a concussion he sustained earlier.

The Dolphins came out shocking the NFL with their performances. They were winning games, and they were fielding one of the most electric offenses in the league.

Tua led the charge at the QB and was aided by two speedy receivers in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. However, the Dolphins were unable to keep Tua healthy all year.

He suffered multiple concussions and the final one was enough to keep him out of the postseason. The concussions and their severity even called into question Tua’s playing career going forward. For now, it seems like all is fine and that Tua will be able to return for 2023 as the Dolphins’ starter.

When was the last time the Miami Dolphins won a playoff game?

Miami hasn’t been a very competitive team in recent memory. In fact, the last time they made the playoffs was 7 years ago when they made the playoffs in the 2016 season as the 6th seed in the AFC.

To go back to Miami’s last playoff win, you’ll have to go even further. The last time the Dolphins won a playoff game was in 2000 when Dan Marino helped the Fins defeat the Colts 23-17 in overtime.

That playoff win drought marks the second-longest active one in the NFL. The last time the Dolphins won the Super Bowl goes even further back as they won back-to-back Super Bowls from 1972-73. Miami did make it back to the Super Bowl in the 1980s, but they would lose both times.

In short, Miami hasn’t seen success for a long time, and it may be a bit longer before they see some more as they are massive underdogs against the Bills tonight.
