“My Dad Is My Hero”: Tom Brady Once Failed to Hold Back Tears While Talking About His Beloved Father

The seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady might be an inspiration for almost everyone in the sports fraternity; however, when it comes to his role model, the former quarterback has a single choice, and that is his father. Tom Brady Sr. inspired the Patriots legend to pursue the game seriously and dedicate everything.

Reversing this gesture as a generous son, Brady shared a warm post on his Instagram. The occasion is very special because it is Tom Brady Sr’s anniversary. Even after 46 years together, the duo is proud parents to the greatest quarterback of all time.

Tom Brady wishes his parents a happy anniversary

Despite achieving all this success, Brady remains humble, giving it back to society. His ambitious attitude and passion for the game come from his father, who inspired him to seek greatness.

To commemorate the existence of this noble soul, Brady shared an iconic photograph on his Instagram story. He also published glimpses of his celebrations and later removed the post.  In several instances, Brady reiterated the importance of his father’s role.

One of the interviews from 2017 went viral, in which the former quarterback was asked to name his hero. It was during Super Bowl week when a kid from the crowd asked Brady this unique question. After taking a pause, he mentioned his father’s name. Brady was on the verge of shedding tears; but he controlled it.

“Who’s my hero? Great question. Well, I think my dad is my hero because he’s someone that I look up to every day, and uh… my dad.” Brady said. It appeared he wanted to add something more, but later on, he changed the topic.

Brady wants to showcase a similar attitude toward his kids

The 45-year-old is a father of three. Two sons, Jack and Benjamin. He also has a young daughter, Vivian, 10. Despite his tight schedule, the veteran never fails to spend time with his family, especially his kids.

Recently, he went through a tough phase in life by finalizing his divorce from Gisele Bündchen. But, he didn’t let that issue affect his behavior with kids, and he continues to foster them. In fact, he has dedicated his entire retirement to them.

“I know I’m not as good a dad to my kids that my dad’s been to me,” he said in an interview, per Today. “I use him as my example of how to keep a family together and to care, support, and how to love. I want them to be respectful of people. I want them to be kind,” Brady added. It will be interesting to see whether he succeeds in imparting wisdom to the next generation.
