Steelers vs. Ravens was supposed to be a big matchup on thanksgiving. However, due to COVID-19, the NFL had to postpone the Steelers and Ravens game.

The game will take place on Sunday afternoon now, barring any other positive cases from either side. The league has had to reshuffle multiple games this year, and this is just another example.
The Ravens had a recent outbreak of COVID-19, and thus, to ensure the safety of the players the league has decided to at least reschedule the game till Sunday.
However, if the situation worsens, the NFL may have to look to play this game in a potential Week 18.

Steelers Players React to Rescheduling
Multiple Steelers players voiced their disgust at the NFL shifting this game around. Here’s what a few of them had to say:

to talk about what exactly? how they keep F**in us. we had a week 4 bye cause of this, now the only time we look forward to some rest was after one of the biggest PRIMETIME games we no longer have. we keep getting screwed this year. https://t.co/926ImapBOO

The Steelers already dealt with this scenario, and clearly they are tired of it. Further, the Steelers and Ravens game was one of the best games of the week, and it was coming at a perfect time on Thanksgiving.
Moreover, the NFL Thanksgiving schedule now consists of Texans vs. Lions and Washington vs. Cowboys. While the Cowboys and Lions have historically always played in Thanksgiving games, this year their teams aren’t great.
Steelers vs. Ravens Implications
Firstly, this game is important for both sides. The Steelers are the No. 1 seed in the AFC sitting at a perfect 10-0. However, the Kansas City Chiefs are right behind them at 9-1. This year, the difference between the 1 and 2 seeds is incredible as only the 1 seed gets a first-round bye.
Meanwhile, the game is crucial for the Ravens who have now fallen out of the playoff race. The offense has struggled at times this year, and it’s led to a largely disappointing season following the success of last year.
Secondly, the game features a classic AFC North rivalry. Although many of the players from the older days of this rivalry are gone, the game still holds the same intrigue. Hopefully, the game can be played on Sunday, and we get to see yet another entertaining chapter in this storied battle.
