Patrick Mahomes vs. Geno Smith: Who To Start In NFL Fantasy Football Week 16
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs host Geno Smith and the Seahawks in what seems to be a high scoring thriller. Which quarterback will score more points for your fantasy team though?
Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs are on a roll right now, competing for the 1 seed in the AFC to have the playoffs run through Arrowhead stadium. But Geno Smith and the Seahawks are looking to get right after getting handled by the San Francisco 49ers.
Both quarterbacks seem to be poised for a great day as they both earned Pro Bowl honors due to their play on the field. This is also partially due to both defenses being susceptible to good passing attacks and giving up a high number of points.
.@GenoSmith3‘s been doing it all year long.

Mahomes is on another level this year, as he is competing for MVP honors once again. Even though Jalen Hurts might be in the drivers’ seat, due to his injury, Mahomes has a good chance to steal the award.
Geno Smith is proving all the haters wrong this year after backing up Russell Wilson for what seems like most of his career. Being a Pro Bowler, Smith is trying to earn Comeback Player of the Year honors as he has definitely been a top quarterback for the year.
Who to start between the two for the week?
Mahomes is probably the best start of the week as he is going against a young Seattle Seahawks defense that does not have a lot of experience under their belts. Andy Reid and the Chiefs will be looking to use the connection between Mahomes and Kelce to pick apart their opposing team.
Bottom line, we’re going to do whatever we need to do to win.

Smith and the Seahawks will be looking to depend on DK Metcalf and run the offense through Kenneth Walker. Pete Carroll has always been a run first coach, depending on the pass when game script calls for it.
Even though game script might call for a lot of passing, Mahomes is the better start for the week. With fantasy football playoffs underaway, starting the best quarterback in the game is the best move you could make to win.
