Tom Brady 'Misses' Float To Surface As Aaron Rodgers Minicamp Situation Refuses To Die

Sometimes Aaron Rodgers is a pure savage, but his cheeky comments often take a controversial angle and land him in an uncomfortable situation. Recently, the veteran reignited the flame, stating the 49ers would regret not drafting him in 2005 despite a poor 0-4 record against San Francisco. He fueled his previous comments by asking about the number of Super Bowl rings, the 49ers have won in the last 18 years. It took no time for this jab to circulate across the internet, and netizens started comparing his stature with that of Tom Brady.

It appears the ignorance shown by the Niners still stings the veteran. Aaron’s favorite NFL team had the first overall pick, and Rodgers was expected to go off the board, but they chose Alex Smith over him. The quarterback had to wait for another 20 rounds to finally get a spot in Green Bay. This paved the way for his ascendance, but his long-time dream to play for the Niners remained unfulfilled.

Aaron Rodgers faces the wrath of NFL fans

Over the years, the Cali native has evolved into one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Even though he has only won one Super Bowl ring, the signal-caller has proven himself as a great asset for the Packers, winning multiple MVP titles. While his playoff record against the 49ers still remains the worst performance in the history of the league, the veteran has no apprehensions.

In an appearance on the Pardon My Take Podcast, the host once asked Aaron to describe the actual meaning of “regret” he mentioned a couple of years ago.

Without a second thought, he reverted to a question asking all his critics to count the number of championship titles they (the 49ers) won in the last 18 years. At least he has one, but the Niners have none! Interestingly, they were on the verge of winning back in 2013, but an unprecedented power outage quashed all their aspirations. Rodgers claimed that Kyle Shanahan had one of the greatest defenses in the last 30 years but couldn’t leverage this advantage into a championship win.

These comments took no time to catch the attention of fans. Netizens blamed A-Rod for making unnecessarily snobbish remarks and compared him with Brady who refrains from saying anything like this, despite having as many as 7 titles in his kitty.

“Precisely why he will never will be Brady…..i mean, Tom would never say anything like this, and he has 7 rings,” said one of the fans in the comments. “Aaron has 1. He acts like he’s won 5”, and “Rodgers is acting up there, acting like he has multiple rings or something,” were a few of the other reactions.

It’s a new beginning for A-Rod

Growing up, Rodgers dreamt of playing for the 49ers, but unfortunately, couldn’t find a place. However, his time in Green Bay turned out to be as good as anyone can imagine. He completely change the landscape of the franchise and went on to league MVP honors on 4 occasions. However, he might regret winning the Lombardi only once, even after having so many fantastic seasons in Green and Gold.

Aaron is now in the last phase of his career, and this year he will be leading the Jets’ offense. The team from New York has a new poster boy in Rodgers, and the veteran will try to make the best of it. Do you think he can win a title in the upcoming season?
