Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson has had a wonderful career in the NFL thus far. While people kept saying that a 5ft 11in quarterback can’t be successful at the highest level, Wilson proved everyone wrong and guided the Seahawks to a Super Bowl title during the 2013 season.

After enjoying his time in Seattle, Wilson signed a mammoth $245 million deal with the Denver Broncos last year. However, after landing in Denver, nothing has gone right for the signal caller this far. His 2022 season turned out so bad that many experts called his new deal with the Broncos as the worst transaction in sporting history.
Russell Wilson reveals the secret of his happy marriage
Moreover, Russell’s “Let’s Ride” motto, which used to motivate his fans, has been turned into a meme, that’s how bad his previous season was. However, despite all this, Wilson is optimistic about making a thumping comeback in the coming season. In fact he always stays in a very calm state of mind and one of the biggest reasons behind it is the unending affection and support he receives from his wife Ciara.
A little while ago, Wilson appeared on Audible’s “Think Like a Champion” podcast where he explained how he keeps the spark in his marriage alive, which in turn helps him to lead a happy life. “I think marriages a lot of time, they loose their spice. For us, when we got together, we made sure that we do date nights every Friday,” Wilson claimed.
Wilson added that he always keeps Ciara entertained and vise versa. He added that both, him and his wife Ciara make sure that they are traveling for time to time. “Somedays we stay at home doing something romantic. Other days you know, we find something fun to do.”
Russell & Ciara keep religion at the center of their relationship
Russell and Ciara are extremely religious individuals. They are often seen propagating the ideas of the almighty to the less fortunate. In fact, a few weeks backs, they visited a maximum security prison to teach the lesson of repentance to inmates who are serving life sentences.
Explaining how religion helps him and Ciara in their marriage, Russell, on the “Think Like a Champion,” stated, “communication in a relationship is key. If we are going to keep God at the center of our marriage, we gotta pray everyday together so that’s a part of it.”
It is fantastic to see the clarity with which Russell and Ciara approach their marriage. Let’s hope they keep going the way they are at the moment.
