Russell Wilson established himself as one of the elite quarterbacks in the league by delivering incredible numbers for the Seattle Seahawks. He not only became the team’s favorite quarterback, but also helped them win their only Super Bowl title in 2014. Therefore, the city loved him with all its heart, and because of that, in the hopes of staying connected to Seattle forever, the nine-time Pro Bowler once confessed his desire to become the $4.5 Billion worth team’s owner.

Despite all this, last year, the Seahawks traded Wilson to the Denver Broncos because the QB grew disillusioned with his former team’s lack of protection for him. Wilson also thought that the front office was meddling in his goal of winning another Super Bowl and individual titles. The gap between them only grew larger, which resulted in them parting ways. With his new team, the Denver Broncos, the 34-year-old was looking to win games on a consistent basis, but, as we all know, that did not happen.
Russell’s first season with the Broncos was one of the worst ones of his career. The Denver Broncos finished 5-12 and were positioned last in the AFC West. Therefore, because of his underwhelming and lackluster performance, analysts like Mike Tannenbaum believes that the star quarterback’s job is in jeopardy.

Russell Wilson needs to get going this season to save his Denver job
ESPN analyst Mike Tannenbaum recently claimed that Wilson’s job in Denver could be at risk. When he appeared on ESPN’s Get Up, he noted that:
“Russell Wilson isn’t fighting for his legacy, he’s fighting for his job. They (Denver) will draft his replacement if he (Wilson) doesn’t do everything he (Payton) says from day one.”
If the quarterback does not deliver wins as desired by the team’s new head coach Sean Payton, then the team won’t hesitate in looking for DangeRuss’ replacement. It is bewildering to think that the quarterback who was once lauded as one of the best and most talented in the league, who once even wanted to buy the Seahawks, is now fighting hard to secure his job.
The signal caller once spoke to Mark Cuban during an episode of his ‘Danger Talk’ podcast where he had revealed his desire to own a stake in the Seattle Seahawks. He had called it, “one of the biggest goals in [his] life.”
“I’m fired up to get there. I would love to own the Seattle Seahawks one day. The city is so special,” Wilson had claimed. Although his big dream of becoming the owner of the Seahawks didn’t materialize, he never stopped loving the city of Seattle.
No love lost between Wilson and Seattle
Even though the quarterback broke his ties with the franchise in an ugly manner, his love for the city hasn’t decreased. In fact, Russell Wilson and his pop star wife Ciara, have continued to support a charitable organization which started in Seattle, Washington.

The Why Not You Foundation aims to help students and young children achieve high-quality education and fight poverty. Wilson regularly contributes funds to his charity and never shies away from raising money for important causes. While some reports did come out a while ago, raising concerns about only a minute chunk of money raised through the foundation going towards helping people, Wilson had responded to the allegations by stating that the said reports did not account for the money that went directly towards the noble causes.
Wilson had added that no matter what, he will continue on his quest to support the organization and help people out.
