Shaquille O’Neal Endorses Deion Sanders’ Different Coaching Approach For Son Shedeur Sanders

Shaquille O’Neal has always been a huge Deion Sanders believer. It was very evident even when Coach Prime found early success with Colorado and the NBA legend expressed himself through his Instagram stories endorsing the Prime Effect. In his recent show of expression, Shaq was in awe of Prime’s special coaching style with his son Shedeur Sanders.

Shaq took to Instagram to share a reel where Deion Sanders was explaining the special way in which he coaches his 21-year-old QB son Shedeur. The reel was an extract taken from Deion Sanders’ appearance on The Pat McAfee Show after his win against TCU in his debut game.

Shaquille O’Neal Endorses Deion Sanders’ Unique Coaching Approach Towards His Son Shedeur

Coach Prime, ever since taking up the HC role at Boulder, has shown how big of an inspirational figure he is for his players but most of all to his own kids. Deion Sanders has taken up a militaristic approach when it comes to coaching and he took the same route to guide his own son Shedeur Sanders. However, being a father, he still wants to be emotionally available to him.

“When we go down from the 40 to the goal line, I’m dad,” Deion Sanders said. “I’m making sure he’s straight, how’s he feeling all that, I’m the father. When we touch that goal line and come back, I’m the coach.” Deion explained how he would not let Shedeur do “stupid” things that would turn the ball around.

Coach Prime later added, “Then it always ends with, ‘let him know’. I want them to know our last name before we walk off this darn field. And who are you? He said I’m a Sanders. I said alright, let’s go show them what we know. And we kiss and we go to work.”

Coach Prime is creating a legacy for himself, his kids, and the community at the same time, and as of now, it seems that the Buffs are unstoppable. Watching this extract made Shaquille O’Neal put it on his Instagram story, as father-son chemistry like this is nothing but extraordinary.

Shedeur’s Special Relationship With His Dad Coach Prime

The special relationship between Shedeur and Deion Sanders was very much seen during their game against Nebraska. In his post-game press conference, Shedeur, after beating the Cornhuskers, called out coach Matt Rhule. “The coach said a lot of things about my pops,” he said.

He elaborated by saying that Rhule was standing on the Buffs logo before the game and he took these things personally which fueled him to record 393 yards and two touchdowns during the game. In a similar manner, the father-son duo is setting the football world on fire and it is only going to enhance as the season progresses.
