Aaron Rodgers is one of the most controversial quarterbacks to ever play the game. Right from lying about getting vaccinated, to discussing 9/11 conspiracy theories with his mates, Rodgers just never misses a chance to make the headlines. Ironically, the man who seems to love staying in the limelight, has often stated that he never wastes his time and energy on what is being said about him in the media.

Aaron likes doing everything in a typical soap opera way. He gives mixed signals, he provides several plot twists, then he prolongs the plot as much as he can and finally, he reveals the ultimate truth when the spotlight is on him. This is exactly what he did when he was asked about his future in the NFL after the end of the 2022 season. Instead of making anything clear, he decided to go on a darkness retreat.
Aaron Rodgers blasted media for making all sorts of assumptions about him
As soon as Rodgers returned from his retreat, fans started bombarding him with questions about where he’ll play. As expected, Rodgers provided mixed signals and eventually headed to his good friend Aubrey Marcus’ podcast. Just 20 minutes into the over an hour and a half long episode, Aaron went on a rant against media for portraying him in a bad light.
After saying that he never went into the retreat just for taking a decision about his future, Rodgers said, “people who wanted to be a part of the story said that he is going for the retreat on Monday after the Super Bowl. Then I went on McAfee on Tuesday so the same people were like ‘he must be coming out after one day to do the McAfee Show.’”
“I am like, shut the f*ck up. Stop with the bullshit. And it was like he is going in on Thursday and I was like, ‘No I am not,'” he stated. Aaron went on to suggest that as he wanted to keep his personal life private, people found him very mysterious which in turn led to a situation where all sorts of stuff about him started being said in the media which wasn’t entirely true.
Aaron Rodgers finally has a new team
After speaking his heart out on Aubrey’s podcast, Aaron went on the Pat McAfee Show where he made it clear that he wants to join the Jets. Several fans were left disheartened but at least now they knew that he won’t be playing in Green and Gold anymore.
However, the drama was far from over. Although Jets were trying to get him as soon as possible, they were unable to strike a deal with Green Bay for a long time. Then a report came out that Aaron will either play for the Jets or won’t play at all. Finally, a few days back, Aaron was traded to New York in exchange of several draft picks.
It will be interesting to see how he performs in the coming season.
