Edelman and Brady always had a close connection during their time together in New England. When Brady left, Edelman was heartbroken that his close friend was leaving the team.
On Brady’s 44th birthday, Edelman had to let find some way to make fun of his old friend. The fact that Brady is turning 44 may not be a big deal on first glance, but it is when you consider that he’ll be playing in his 22nd season in the NFL.

Julian Edelman Makes Fun Of Tom Brady For Being Denied Of High Fives
Edelman had to let his old friend know that he wasn’t going to be spared of a few jokes, even on his birthday. Brady has built up quite the reputation on the NFL field through his play, but sometimes when he wants to celebrate, others aren’t always as reciprocating.
Rolling with this idea, Edelman edited a video Brady posted earlier in which he was hitting some crazy throws to a football throwing machine:
Training camp starts this week. I’m looking forward to having some actual receivers again… pic.twitter.com/PDl1puHr46

Whether that video is real or not is another debate, but Edelman found a pretty imaginative way to edit that video to make fun of Brady and wish him happy birthday all in one. Here’s the video Edelman posted:
Will someone give my friend @TomBrady a high five today? It’s his birthday. HBD bubs 🎂 pic.twitter.com/piYqxkZKQF

Absolutely ruthless. It’s Brady and Edelman’s close relationship that allowed him to post such a video, but man, that doesn’t take away from how funny and mocking it is.
Being denied a high five is one of the most saddening things an athlete can go through, and Edelman made sure everyone knew that this happens to Brady more often than not. If you want to see Brady being denied more high fives, you can watch here:
