RB Tarik Cohen tweeted out yesterday for any help that he could find looking for his twin brother Tyrell. However, Tyrell tragically passed away on Sunday. The Chicago Bears released a statement on the tragic incident.

Tarik Cohen tweeted looking for help looking for his brother in the Raleigh/ Durham area of their home state of North Carolina. Unfortunately, Tyrell Antar Cohen believed to have died by electrocution while trying to climb power equipment, according to Wake County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Eric Curry.
Curry added that Tyrell fled the scene of a car accident early Saturday morning. But after evading the police, they called off the search looking for Cohen. The sheriff’s office responded to a call shortly after 9 a.m. from a Duke Energy substation in its jurisdiction, where an employee had discovered Cohen’s body, Curry said.

The Chicago Bears released a statement.
The Bears released a statement on the tragic news on Sunday evening:
“We are heartbroken to learn of the death of Tarik Cohen’s twin brother, Tyrell. Our immediate thoughts and prayers go out to Tarik, his mother, Tilwanda, and the rest of their family and loved ones. On behalf of the entire Bears family, we extend our most heartfelt sympathies to all who mourn his loss,” the Bears said on Sunday night.

Tarik Cohen was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the 4th round of the 2017 NFL draft. after a quiet 2017 season, the North Carolina A&T alum made his name after becoming one of the most versatile players in the league. Cohen finished the season with 444 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He also had 71 catches for 725 yards and 5 touchdowns, along with a league-leading 411 punt return yards. He was later named to the 2019 Pro Bowl roster and first-team All-Pro as a return specialist.
But throughout, Cohen always spoke highly of his family. “He’s my purpose,” Cohen said of his half-brother, Danta Norman. “They’ve always been my purpose, my brothers and my mom, that’s the dominant family that I grew up seeing every day. But I feel like it adds a little more fuel to the fire now.”
