With Taylor Swift in Attendance, Travis Kelce Records 109 Receiving Yards in First Half, Surpassing Broncos' Season Numbers

Just a day after kicking off her Eras Tour movie premiere, Taylor Swift is in Kansas City, cheering on rumored love interest Travis Kelce. This is the pop star’s third attendance at a Chiefs game and as expected, Travis Kelce is destroying his opponents on the field, even breaking the opposing team’s numbers.

With the added attention and chatter around Taylor Swift and their romance, many were wondering if the TE would be under pressure during the game against Denver. However, Travis Kelce has well and truly proved that he knows how to soak up the pressure and that he knows what he’s doing.

Travis Kelce Gives the Performance of the Season

Travis Kelce played easily his best game of this season. He caught a pass with just over four minutes left at halftime, setting up the game’s first touchdown, which came three plays later. As the Chiefs won their 16th straight win against the Broncos, Kelce recorded seven catches for 109 yards in just the first half. He recorded more yards in the first half than the Broncos had as a team (76).

As Kelce caught the pass, Taylor Swift was seen hugging QB Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany Mahomes. Undoubtedly, the pop star was proud of the man she’s been rumored to be dating. Swift and Brittany were ecstatic and smiling ear to ear as the camera panned to them, right as Kelce made the catch.

During the NFL game, Swift attended for the third time, she sat next to Donna Kelce and Brittany Mahomes in the KC suite, wearing a black dress and a red windbreaker. Similar to previous occasions, the two WAGs were observed celebrating and cheering wholeheartedly throughout the game.

Fans Continue to Be Salty About Taylor Swift’s Presence at Games

Swift’s presence at games has been actively criticized by fans, along with the NFL for fueling the mania and leaning into her coverage. They had similar reactions to her presence at the Chiefs game against the Broncos:

While some fans were extremely pleased with Kelce and the Chiefs’ performance, and gave them much-deserved credit for a game well played:

A hilarious tweet even summarized the teamwork Mahomes and Kelce are employing. It hilariously implied that the two are trying to impress Taylor Swift:

Overall, it would be fair to say that the Taylor Swift effect is proving to be extremely lucky for the Chiefs as the franchise is yet to lose a game with the pop star in attendance. It will be interesting to see when this record will fall and how Taylor’s reaction will be at that time.
