"You ain't no Tom Brady" : TB12 superfan Charles Barkley is convinced 7x Super Bowl winner is the prettiest man around

Future NFL Hall of Famer Tom Brady is undoubtedly a good-looking man. The way that he has taken care of his health all these years is surely paying off. Even if a lot of people feel otherwise, Brady definitely has one person on his side. Former NBA star Charles Barkley, who cannot and will not accept anyone saying Tom Brady is not the prettiest man alive.

Barkley’s saga about having a “man crush” on TB12 started way back in 2019. Since then, Barkley has been holding this up at every opportunity he gets. He even recently said on air that former ice hockey goaltender Henrik Lundqvist ruined his appetite just because his wife said Lundqvist is more handsome than Brady.

Charles Barkley says Henrik Lundqvist is nothing compared to Tom Brady

Barkley recently appeared on TNT’s ‘NHL FACEOFF’, with a bunch of other commentators, including Lundqvist. During a conversation, Barkley jumped in, saying, “Let me tell you something. He (Lundqvist) ruined my dinner last night. Michelle (his wife) was trying to tell us that he’s better-looking than Tom Brady. And I was like,’ No! He’s not better looking than Tom Brady!’ Hey, he’s a handsome man, but he’s no Tom Brady!”

It seems the ever-comedic Charles Barkley is taking his role as a TB12 superfan very seriously. All this started one fine day back in 2019, while he was appearing for an interview on  ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’. During the interview, Barkley recounted how he was shell-shocked by Brady’s beauty the first time they met in person.

I’m looking at these people, and then I see Gronk (Rob Gronkowski), and then Tom Brady’s like right here,” he said. “‘Damn, you a handsome dude,’ I murmured, looking him in the eyes. That’s what I was thinking, and I felt so humiliated that I turned my head to talk to him… I can see why he scored those touchdowns: the defense is entranced by his gaze. Tom Brady is a beautiful dude, you guys. He’s also a kind person, but I can’t look him in the eyes again. He’s had a fantastic life.”

Fortunately for him, it seems Brady reciprocates some of that love. During a recent episode of his podcast ‘Let’s Go!’, Brady said he adored Barkley and what he does in the field of commentating. He said this ahead of his own entry into the field, which now has been postponed to 2024. Safe to say it will be a treat if they somehow end up on the same panel in the future.

Brady pushes off commentating debut with Fox Sports to 2024

Tom Brady is having a busy retirement life. From his production company to his clothing line, to spending time with his loved ones. There are a lot of activities he is involved in. Not to forget, the crypto lawsuit that he is in the middle of. With all this hovering over him, it is no wonder that he and Fox Sports agree that his broadcasting debut should be pushed to 2024.

Talking about the same during an interview with Colin Cowherd, Brady had said, “Decompression’s really important. You’re on this kind of really crazy treadmill, hamster wheel for a long time, loving the moment and journey. At the same time, it’s a daily fight. For me, I want to be great at what I do — talking, even last week, with the people at Fox Sports, and the leadership there, allowing me to start my Fox opportunity in the fall of 2024, something that’s great for me.”

TB12 had an incredible career in the NFL, spanning almost 23 years. With 7 Super Bowl rings on his hand, there is no doubt that he will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in his first attempt. With his immense experience, many expect him to be an instant hit in the broadcasting world as well. Will Brady take over the realm of commentating just as he dominated on the gridiron?
