Nicolo Barella to Arsenal: The Gunners are eyeing a move for the midfielder, who recently made his debut for Italy.

Arsenal has been in sublime form this season. After losing the two opening Premier League games to Man City and Chelsea, the Gunners are yet to drop points in the league. Unai Emery’s side currently sits at 4th in the league, with only two points behind league leaders Manchester City.

The Gunners are also on a nine-match winning streak in all competitions, which include a win in their first round of Carabao Cup over lower-league side Brentford, and two Europa League group matches.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have found their goal-scoring boots, as both scored a brace in their last match against Fulham this weekend. Arsenal thumped the newly-promoted side 5-1 at Craven Cottage to take a lead over Tottenham in the table.

Arsenal are also setting foot in the transfer market, as Unai Emery prepares to sign players in January. The latest addition to the list of potential signings for Arsenal is Cagliari’s Nicolo Barella.

Nicolo Barella to Arsenal:

Barella has been a regular at Cagliari in the last three seasons, and his performances are attracting big European clubs. This season, the 21-year old midfielder received his first international call-up during the break last week.

Arsenal are eyeing a move for the midfielder. Interestingly, another Premier League giant, Liverpool are already preparing a bid for the player. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, while Arsenal are set to send scouts to watch the player, Liverpool is preparing a bid in the region of 30 million pounds for the midfielder.

Apart from the two English clubs, both the Milan giants, AC Milan and Inter Milan are also keeping tabs on the player.

What next?

Arsenal fans received a big setback when it was announced that the contract for new contract between Aaron Ramsey and the club have broken down. Last week, the Welsh midfielder confirmed the news, although he insisted that he would see out his contract and won’t leave the club in January.

The Gunners are also linked with a move for Paraguayan international Miguel Almiron, who currently plays for Atlanta United in the MLS.
