Nepal U19 Vs Singapore U19 One Day ACC U19 Eastern Region Cup Best Dream 11 Team
A massive incentive for the U19 teams of Nepal and Singapore to continue their progression on the grand stage and make a name for themselves, the ACC U19 Eastern Region Cup is one of the best things to happen to the two countries. Featuring eight of the most promising and upcoming teams in the region, the tournament was conceptualised with the sole reason of helping provide a worldclass platform and viewership to teams yet to find their footing in the international arena.
And after the first round of matches at the showpiece event, Singapore and Nepal have grabbed the initiative and made the most of the huge opportunity accorded to them. Both the sides sit with two points from their opening matches after pummelling China comprehensively.
While Singapore registered an 8 wicket win against China after dismissing them for a mere 28 runs, Nepal’s win came by 10 wickets as they chased down the 54 run target set to them with ease to take them to the top of the table. Currently only separated by net run-rate, today’s encounter between the two cricketing countries is set to define who ends in first place at the end of the group stage matches.
Probable Winner
Despite their emphatic start to the season, Singapore will have fresh on their minds the hammering they received by Nepal ever so recently. There put downed by a colossal 217 runs in the recent Asia U19 World Cup Qualifiers after they fell apart for 66 runs in pursuit of the massive 283 run total set up for them against Nepal.
And given the formidable nature of Nepal’s bowling order and Singapore’s nature to fall important at important junctures is what sees us give Nepal the upper hand in this fixture. They have by far the more complete and well tuned unit, one Singapore will find tricky to navigate past.
Wicket-Keeper for NP-Y vs SIN-Y Dream11
We have opted for Singapore’s Vedant Chincholkar to be our wicket-keeper for this one with us seeing him getting a good amount of time in the middle to come and ply his goods out.
Batsmen for NP-Y vs SIN-Y Dream11
Given the extremely resolute and strong nature of Nepal’s batting line-up, the recent uprise the side has been on is due to the application and technique of their batting order with Bhim Sharki one of the mainstays of the top-order for the side.
From Singapore we have opted for two of their batters with Hari Kukreja and opener Sai Harsha Venugopal being opted for by us. If the team are to put up a stern test and make a meal of this match, they need these two players to be resolute and grind it out in the middle to take their side to a respectable total.
All-Rounders for NP-Y vs SIN-Y Dream11
The most anticipated segment of our Dream 11 side given the heavy reliance of both the sides on their all-rounders to not only come good with the runs but snare up a rich haul of wickets as well. We have opted for the 4 all-rounders each, the two from either side to come and bolster our side.
Nepal’s opener and a key component in the bowling unit, Pawan Sarraf is the first we are getting in. His 46 against China saw him take the incentive on his shoulders and deliver a brute of a performance as he scored over 80% of the runs his team needed to put on to get past China’s lowly 53. What especially impressed us was the way he amassed those scores, freeing his arms at will to find the boundary at regular intervals and it’s this which makes Nepal’s Pawan Sarraf the first all-rounder to be chosen by us.
Rashid Khan accompanies him while from Singapore, his 7-8 spell against China sees Vinit Mehta become our first pick alongside Pramesh Singhavi.
Bowling Order for NP-Y vs SIN-Y Dream11
With Singapore bound to be fully bowled out in this one, the spearhead partnership of Kamal Singh Airee and Sagar Dhakal come in from Nepal. The dearth of skill set in Singapore’s batting unit is well apparent and we see these two keeping a scruff on things in unison. We complete our Dream 11 side by filling our bowling order with a trio of bowlers from Nepal with Tilak Bhandari also being brought on.
Captain And Vice-Captain
Pawan Sarraf has been opted for as the captain for this fixture while Vinit Mehta from Singapore is our vice-captain.
