Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes huge remark on Paul Pogba after Manchester United loss

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has sent Paul Pogba a message after Manchester United’s stunning defeat to Wolves in the Premier League.

Pogba struggled against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday night as Man Utd faced a significant loss in the Premier League. Solskjaer’s men suffered a 2-1 defeat as the race for top-four grows tougher for the Old Trafford outfit.

Chris Smalling scored an unfortunate own goal in the game as Manchester United failed to capitalize on Tottenham’s defeat on the weekend.

After the game, the Norwegian manager interacted with the media, where he also talked about Paul Pogba’s disappointing performance in the game.

Pogba’s comments about Real Madrid in the international break last month didn’t go down well with the fans, and the midfielder has fairly struggled in both the games since returning from the break.

Solskjaer on Pogba:

Talking to the media, Solskjaer defended Paul Pogba, stating that the midfielder is working hard as anyone in the side. He, however, admitted that the Frenchman was not at his best in the game against Wolves.

“Sometimes today he could have easily had an assist,” Solskjaer began.

“And it was great play with him and Rom [Lukaku]. It’s figures and numbers, he is working as hard as any player in the team. Some days it just doesn’t come off.”

The manager also acknowledged that the race for the top four has turned difficult for the Reds and the team cannot afford to drop points anymore.

“I said we needed 15 points from the last seven games (to make the top four), we now need 15 in the last six, so we don’t have room for many more losses.

“We are a very good team, so it’ll be difficult for anyone playing against us. Our performance deserved the win.”

He insisted that the players made mistake, which cost the game on the night at the Molineux Stadium.

“We created our own downfall. It was a very good performance until they scored their second goal.

“But for their keeper we should have won. We created enough chances to win the game so I don’t think there’s any ‘resetting’ (after his fast start as United manager).”
