Manchester United have been tipped by their manager to sign Steven Bergwijn.
Manchester United have been keen to reinforce their attack in the January transfer market to bolster their chances of securing Champions League football next term. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has not put a foot wrong after taking over the Red Devils in mid-December.
The Norwegian has won all seven games, thereby maintaining a 100% win record for over a month now. The likes of Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, and Marcus Rashford have been rejuvenated. But, there is still plenty of games left as they try to slowly move into the top four of the Premier League table.

There is no doubt about the quality available at stake for Manchester United upfront. But, there is a missing jigsaw which can be completed by wrapping up a signature of a right-winger. Jesse Lingard is the current option, but they are focusing on strengthening this position to make their attack even more dangerous.
Earlier in the window, there were several reports linking with Juventus striker Douglas Costa, but the move never materialized. However, according to the Italian reliable publication TuttoMercato Web, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has asked his club to complete the signing of Steven Bergwijn to bolster their front line.
Manchester United will have scouts in attendance to watch Steven Bergwijn play for PSV this afternoon, according to reports. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are weighing up a £25m offer for the 21-year-old. Read more here… #MUFC https://t.co/gT3ahgsF8K pic.twitter.com/hBZLoPD2dA

The 22-year-old Dutch winger is currently plying his trade with PSV Eindhoven and has attracted plenty of suitors in recent weeks. Additionally, he has also been regularly featuring under the management of Ronald Koeman in the Netherlands National team.
Blessed with pace and eye for goal, Bergwijn is one of the exceptional talents coming through the Dutch top division at the present. Even though his primary position is left wing, he has the capability to operate through the right wing, false nine and a striker.

He has been in phenomenal form with his club, scoring 10 and assisting another 8 from 24 top-flight appearances so far. Since he has a contract until 2022, more than 45 million will be the required fee to lure him away from the Netherlands.
On the other hand, Juan Mata’s contract ends in the upcoming summer. The Spaniard has been operating through the right flank for the Red Devils over the last few years. There is no doubt that Bergwijn would certainly fill the missing puzzle in the summer window as the Red Devils aim to strengthen their squad to challenge for the title next campaign.
