Ousmane Dembele has been out of favour at FC Barcelona in his first season under Ernesto Valverde.

The French star signed for FC Barcelona in a 105m deal from Borussia Dortmund last summer. However, his struggle with form throughout the season kept the French forward on sidelines. Even when Barca’s hierarchy earlier stated that Dembele is an important part of club’s future plans, Dembele could be on his way out.

Spanish outlet Sport earlier reported that Ousmane Dembele is unhappy with the arrival of Malcolm at Barca. It is claimed that he isn’t happy with added competition at the club.

Various reports from England also say that Unai Emery is interested in bringing Dembele to Arsenal on a season-long loan. Arsenal have had an eventful transfer window so far, as they completed the signing of five players this summer.

Unai Emery began a major overhaul at the club after taking over from Arsene Wenger. Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla have left the club, and youngsters like Matteo Guendouzi and Lucas Torreira have been brought in as replacements. Arsenal also made two defensive signings in Sokratis and Stephan Lichtsteiner.

Petr Cech is also set to be dropped in favour of the new arrival, Bernd Leno. But it seems like Arsenal are unwilling to call it over in the transfer window, and Unai Emery is set to push for one last signing.

Ousmane Dembele has hinted at his Arsenal move a number of times on his Instagram, with regular activity on Arsenal’s official page and interactions with their players.

Recently, Ousmane Dembele posted a comment on Sokratis Papastathopoulos’ post as well. Previously, he wrote the lyrics of Alexandre Lacazette’s chant in Alex Iwobi’s video.

According to Football London, Dembele is set to have talks with Barcelona to discuss his future at the club.
