Pakistani fans criticize PCB after derogatory post for Sarfaraz Ahmed; PCB apologizes

Pakistani fans criticize PCB: The Pakistan Cricket Board offered an apology after fans didn’t appreciate post for sacked captain.

Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed was sacked from the leadership roles across formats after the team’s below par performances in the recent times. In addition to his captaincy, Ahmed was also struggling with the bat in hand which made the selectors drop him from both the Test and T20I squads.

Top-order batsmen Azhar Ali and Babar Azam have been made the captains of the Test and the T20I teams. In a statement, PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) announced that the ODI captain will be announced in “due course of time”.

Ahmed, 32, was at the receiving end of severe criticism from Pakistani fans and media both during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and the recently concluded T20I series against Sri Lanka where Pakistan were whitewashed by a fairly inexperienced T20I side.
