Paul Pogba was central to France’s World Cup victory.

The French midfielder is having the time of his life at the moment. Paul Pogba pulled out many impressive performances in France’s World Cup campaign, which saw them lifting the trophy. While Manchester United have begun their pre-season tour earlier this month, Pogba enjoys a well-deserved rest.

Pogba has had a rough few months before the World Cup, as his struggles with inconsistency in form kept him on sidelines at Manchester United. There were also reports of a fall-out between him and United’s manager, Jose Mourinho.

The Frenchman has also been severely criticised for his hairstyles throughout his time at Manchester United. Many people on social media, and even former footballers have criticised Pogba for his lack of attention towards the game.

However, Pogba hit it back with a brilliant reply on his Instagram story to his criticism.

Paul Pogba was asked by an Instagram user on why he didn’t change hairstyle in the World Cup, to which the French midfielder replied brutally.

“Why didn’t you paint your hair during the World Cup?” asked the user.

Pogba replied, “Because I wanted peace to only focus on my performance and not my look so there is no excuse they could only criticise the football part.”

Roy Keane, who has been a staunch critic of Paul Pogba’s off-the-field antics, praised the Frenchman after his impressive performance at the World Cup earlier. “I don’t mind Pogba dancing now. He’s entitled to have a dance now he’s won the World Cup,” said Keane.

“He can do whatever the hell he wants with his hair,” the Irish former midfielder added.
