Paul Pogba has finally made a decision on his Manchester United future.
Paul Pogba is clearly unsettled after Barcelona made an approach last summer. The Frenchman was able to put in decent displays in his first two seasons, but the transfer fee of 79 million was not made any justice after struggling for a proper run under two different managers this season, Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He did not enjoy a great relationship with the former Red Devils manager Mourinho which forced the club to take a decision. The board decided to back the players, and sack the manager who demanded much more from his side. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looked undefeatable in the first two months, but the results started to slump. The Red Devils have lost seven out of their last ten games which have put pressure on the club.
Paul Pogba improved significantly during Solskjaer’s honeymoon period and the crowd were cheering for him as he produced world-class performances. He then faded away, so did the rest of the squad. The 26-year-old is set to be frustrated with the quality around him and the teammates struggle to read him.
Additionally, he does not see the Red Devils challenge for the league title, which looks inevitable with the ongoing conundrums. One of the reasons he moved from Juventus is the club’s adroitness to win big competitions. He does not intend to waste his prime years by fighting for accolades with average players in the surroundings.
Those discontentments have forced him to take a decision on his Manchester United future. According to the English publication Independent, Paul Pogba is ready to engineer move in the summer transfer window as the club look unlikely to take part in the Champions League next season.
There is a scare around Old Trafford currently, and an official bid of around 130 million will be enough to secure his services. Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane spoke about the possibility of a transfer and has one eye on him already. It will be an interesting summer for Solskjaer who looks likely to sell their stars, Paul Pogba and David De Gea in the summer transfer window.

Scholes: “If he (Pogba) passes the ball forward and runs, there’s nobody in the world who can stay with him. It’s exactly what he did at Juventus but he had strong characters around him, he had Chiellini, Pirlo, great players. He almost did their running for them.” #mufc [PLP]

Scholes: “You get the feeling now that he (Pogba) has come to this club and thinks he’s the big fish, he needs to be the one showing off every week, he’s doing things he doesn’t need to be doing on a football pitch.” #mufc [PLP]
