Paul Pogba on De Gea: David de Gea made 11 saves in the second half as the goalkeeper ensured United’s fifth successive win in the league.
Manchester United’s impressive run under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues as the side edged past Tottenham in an intense game at Wembley Stadium.
Marcus Rashford’s goal at the brink of halftime remained the sole difference between both the sides, as an extraordinary effort from the Spanish goalkeeper negated Tottenham’s attempts for an equalizer.
With this win, Manchester United are now level on points with the fifth-placed Arsenal, who faced a stunning defeat to West Ham United on Saturday. The side also reduced the gap with Tottenham to seven points.
Paul Pogba, who made an incredible assist for Rashford’s goal in the first half, reacted to the game on his Instagram profile, and was in awe of De Gea’s performance on the night.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to De Gea’s saves:
I see a lot of people saying all De Gea saves were straight at him, please factor in that the guy has some mad sense to know where to be at just the right time, you can’t teach that. Proper goally 👏

MUFC scouted De Gea, signed him paying a premium fee for a 19 year old kid, gave him our no.1 role, stuck with him when he was visibly not ready for the PL, ensured the best coaching available for him. But every time he delivers a masterclass Man United is called “lucky”. 🤷🏻♂️
