Paul Pogba on Mourinho: The French midfielder spoke about Jose Mourinho for the first time since his departure.
Manchester United registered a 5-1 victory over Cardiff City in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first match in-charge of the club. Jesse Lingard score a brace in the second half, after Marcus Rashford, Ander Herrera and Anthony Martial were all on target to secure three points for the side.
Paul Pogba returned to the starting XI and played impressively on his return to the side, and Solskjaer was appreciative of his effort.
The midfielder, meanwhile, reflected on the side’s performance and also talked about Jose Mourinho in the post-match interview.

The tussle between Mourinho and midfielder Paul Pogba headlined the newspapers throughout the season.
The fall-out in their relationship became apparent after Pogba criticised Mourinho’s tactics in a mixed-zone interview. The duo was later caught having an intense argument during a training session.
As the departure of Jose Mourinho was announced, Paul Pogba also tweeted a rather controversial tweet, which drew a backlash from fans, journalist, former club players and pundits alike.

However, Pogba has now officially commented on Mourinho.
“We won trophies with Jose and I want to thank him for that,” Pogba said about Mourinho. “We work even if not everything went well.”
The midfielder also stated that Mourinho improved him as a person.
“But things went well and we won trophies. He makes me improve, as a person as well and that’s it.

Talking about the game, Pogba said that the side is happy with the performance and wants to keep the good form going.
“We are really happy for the result. We played well and the performance of the team was great,” Pogba said.
