Paul Pogba has stepped up brilliantly for United under Solskjaer. However, his brother has now revealed the two clubs Pogba could leave Man Utd for.

Paul Pogba has been impressive under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer so far. In his six games under the Norwegian’s charge, Pogba has scored five goals and bagged four assists.

The midfielder has worked under Solskjaer in the past during his youth days at Manchester United, before leaving the club for Juventus.

In the press conference before the fourth-round tie against Arsenal, Solskjaer stated that Paul Pogba has all the qualities to be the captain of Manchester United.

However, Pogba’s brother Florentin has now made a statement which is unlikely to go down well with United’s supporters.

In an interview with Spanish outlet AS, Florentin Pogba has stated that there are only two clubs for which Paul Pogba could leave Manchester United.

“When my brother leaves Manchester United, there are only three clubs he can go to improve: City, Real Madrid or Barca,” Florentin Pogba said.

“He’s not going to go to City, so he’ll come to Spain: to Barca or Madrid.”

He also revealed that there were talks with Real Madrid over a potential transfer for Paul Pogba during his time at Juventus, but the midfielder wanted a return to his former club.

“When he was at Juventus, he could have gone to Barcelona, but he was determined to return to Manchester United, where it hadn’t worked out for him first time round.

“There was also movement [over a transfer to Madrid] when [Zinedine] Zidane was in charge, but he had his heart set on going back to England.”

Florentin Pogba is currently in Spain where he is close to signing for Segunda Division side Elche FC after a promising trial period.

He also insisted that his brother’s disappointing form in the initial few months was due to his fall-out in the relationship with the-then manager, Jose Mourinho.

“Mourinho leaving was the key,” he said.

“He wasn’t happy, and it was clear to see. Now, under Solskjaer, everything is much better. My brother knows him from his time in the Manchester United youth set-up.”
