Pele is embarrassed to leave his house due to his ill-health claims his son

Pele is reportedly embarrassed to leave his home due to his declining health, as the claims are made by his son Edinho in a press interaction.

Pele is hailed as one of the best footballers to ever grace the game, his record in the World cup is unmatched and undoubtedly, he was a crucial player in the glorious era of Brazilian football.

However, age is certainly catching up with him and he is reportedly his health is also declining. In a recent revelation, his son Edinho has revealed that Pele is embarrassed to step out of his house due to his ill-health.

His son Edinho told Brazilian outlet TV Globo: “He is very sheepish, reclusive. Imagine, he’s the King, he was always such an imposing figure and today he can’t walk properly,” Edinho explained.

“He’s embarrassed, he doesn’t want to go out, be seen, or do practically anything that involves leaving the house. “He’s pretty fragile. He had a hip replacement and didn’t have adequate or ideal rehabilitation.

“So he has this problem with mobility and that has set off a kind of depression. He can’t walk normally. Only with the walker. It even improved a little compared to that recent time (when he appeared in a wheelchair), but he still has a lot of difficulty walking.” Edinho said.

Last year only he was hospitalised with a urinary infection. Moreover, He also requires a walking frame and has made numerous public appearances in a wheelchair due to a hip issue.

This year in June, it will mark the 50th year when Pele last won and appeared in the World Cup, which is deemed to be the most complete Brazilian team by him of his era.
