Player ratings for the 2nd T20I between India and Sri Lanka

India have once again beaten the Lankans in the 2nd T20 in Indore, as Sri Lanka valiantly tried to chase down India’s mammoth target.

With an emphatic win over Sri Lanka, India have comprehensively beaten Sri Lanka in Tests, ODIs and in T20Is as well.

India posted a staggering total of 260/5, registering their highest-ever total in T20Is and the second highest total overall in the shortest format.

Rohit Sharma’s joint-fastest century of 35 balls and KL Rahul’s scintillating knock helped India boast a big score in their quota of 20 overs.

In reply to India’s target, Sri Lanka gave their best up till the 14 overs, but ended up falling like a pack of cards as India won by 88 runs at the Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore.

India:

#1. Rohit Sharma(c) – 10/10

The Hitman’s heroics stole the show,  as his 35-ball joint-fastest century took social media by storm. He finished the innings with 118 (12 fours, 10 sixes) off just 43 runs.

#2. Lokesh Rahul – 9/10

With the way he batted alongside Rohit, he thoroughly deserved a century. He ended up scoring a 49-ball 89 (5 fours, 8 sixes).

#3. MS Dhoni (wk) – 8.5/10

He scored a quick fire 21-ball 28 with the bat and effected two sharp dismissals.

#4. Hardik Pandya – 7/10

Hardik Pandya was good with the ball, as he maintained a good economical rate in what was other wise a night to forget for the bowlers.

#5. Shreyas Iyer – 1/10

Shreyas Iyer failed to turn up today as he got out for a duck.

#6. Dinesh Karthik – 7/10

Having got a couple of balls to play, he scored a four and took a single off the last 2 balls.

#7. Manish Pandey – 7/10

Manish Pandey who was fantastic in the last match didn’t get enough balls to play today.

#8. Kuldeep Yadav – 8.5

The chinaman Kuldeep Yadav claimed 3 wickets to his name.

#9. Jaydev Unadkat – 7/10

Unadkat was impressive as well. He picked a lone wicket.

#10. Jasprit Bumrah – 5/10

Bumrah went wicketless in the back to back matches.

#11. Yuzvendra Chahal – 9/10

Once again, Yuzvendra Chahal proved what he is capable of spinning the web. He was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed 4 wickets to his name.
