Sony Interactive Entertainment’s newly launched PlayStation Playmaker is picking up the pace. The marketing initiative has already roped in many famous personalities, such as renowned actors, athletes, content creators, YouTubers, streamers, and many more.

Further expanding the roster recently, PlayStation welcomed the newest member of the Playmaker family via the Days Gone collaboration. This multi-talented personality is quite special, as we’ve already experienced her magic on the silver screen, in concert, and on the modeling ramp. In fact, just a few days ago, we also saw her at the box office in Keanu Reeves’ blockbuster John Wick: Chapter 4 as Akira.

That’s not all; soon you’ll see her featured in the coverage of the popular fashion and lifestyle magazine British Vogue’s July copy. So, wasting no further time, let’s check out who she really is.

PlayStation PlayMaker ropes in Rina Sawayama

The popular personality is none other than Japanese and British singer, actress, and model Rina Sawayama. Earlier today, the studio behind titles such as Uncharted, Days Gone, and more, Bend Studio, joyfully announced it on Twitter.

With a welcoming caption, the studio mentioned, Fueled up and ready to hit the Broken Road, @rinasawayamajumps on the Drifter bike to brave the dangerous world of Days Gone in the latest PlayStation Playmakers announcement. #Bend30.” Apparently, the tweet also boasts an art piece showcasing Rina on a bike in the middle of the jungle.

Days Gone 2 or a DLC? Fans react as the tweet goes viral

Within an hour, the announcement garnered significant attention from the community. However, fans are a little lost, as the studio mentioned very little about this collaboration.

The art piece has fans assuming that the studio is teasing Days Gone 2, while others believe it’s an upcoming DLC for Days Gone that will introduce Rina Sawayama.

Both assumptions make sense, but it’s advisable to take them with a grain of salt until the studio officially sheds more light on it. There’s one thing for sure; the fans are starving for the title’s sequel. Let’s see if PlayStation makes it happen in the near future.
