This again? We were just watching this game like an hour ago. Holy smokes what a game 3 that was. Those Blazers fans are some kind of lucky. They get to root for a team of great guys with minimum roster turnover who keep their identity and play for the fans. On top of all that they get to witness a game where Lillard dominates, buries a 40 footer and waves OKC goodbye. Their next home game? The first 4OT game in 7 decades that ends up in a Portland win. They could not have scripted a better story if they tried.
Now lets talk repercussions of that 68 minute game. Injured Enes Kanter played 56 minutes and played half of it with one hand as his injured left shoulder keeps getting worse. Injured Mo Harmless came back last minute for the game and played 45 minutes going down injured once again. Injured Torey Craig played 36 minutes and injured Jamal Murray played 55 out of which he hobbled for like 20 minutes. 19 of those were due to his bad ankle, 1 was for a missing shoe that just seemed to be the quitting point for the Nuggets.
All that without mentioning the 65 minutes Nikola Jokic played. That man can not be expected to play 65 minutes. He looked ready to pass out in all the OTs and scored 33 points, of which only 3 points came in the OTs as he rapidly faded, ending the game looking so exhausted you worried if he would want to come back to the next one.
Portland Trailblazers vs Denver Nuggets Dream11 Prediction:
Game 4 is going to be a pivotal one. The Blazers 2-1 advantage isn’t big enough that Nuggets cant come back into this series, but this is a home game for the Blazers, who have one of the loudest fan bases in the NBA.
They have players who look in form and didn’t seem to tire (outside of Kanter and Harkless, both of whom were carrying injuries) and a 3-1 lead will probably seal this series for them as the Nuggets don’t look like they can pull 3 back to back wins, not when their second best player in Jamal Murray looks like a bench scorer who turns up one day and doesn’t the next.
Lillard had a poor game, by his extraordinary standards but still have 50+ D11 points. McCollum had an insane game 3 and liked like he could go 50 more minutes at the end of it had 70 D11 points. But the best of the lot was Jokic with 33 points, 18 rebounds and 14 assists, getting him 76.6 D11 points from the game 3.
Apart from that Rodney Hood seems to rediscovering his touch and was the closer in game 3 for Portland getting 7 out of their last 9 points including the dagger 3 that sealed the game. Kanter, Harkless might be injury risks. Murray is also not 100% but Denver don’t have much choice but to play him.
Denver need a bigger game 4 than they had in game 3. It is just difficult to think what more they could do, after leaving everything on the floor in game 3.
