Portugal vs Lithuania: Cristiano Ronaldo scores 4 as he becomes the first European to reach the 90-goal mark in the International Arena.
Cristiano Ronaldo is 34. An age where most footballers start planning their retirement. Not Ronaldo though. The Portuguese Ace is busy breaking one record after the other to further cement his status as the greatest of all time.

Ronaldo is often given the edge ahead of his greatest rival Lionel Messi due to his accomplishments in the international stage. The Portuguese has led his team to title victories in the Euro 2016 and the UEFA Nations League earlier in the year.
Portugal are looking to defend the title they won in 2016. However, they first have to go through the qualifiers. A 5-1 thrashing of Lithuania has made the path that much easier though. The star in the victory was none other than the legend himself: Cristiano Ronaldo.
Cristiano hammers Lithuania mercilessly
Cristiano was the victim of Messi chants against Serbia earlier in the week and he responded with a goal. This time around he needed no motivation as he fired not one or two but 4 goals to fire Portugal to a victory vs Lithuania.
In doing so, he has become the first European to breach the 90-goal mark! In fact, there is only one man in the list ahead of him. Iranian forward, Ali Daei who sits at 109. With 93 goals in his kitty already and a further 4 more qualifiers along with the Euro 2020 next summer, there is every possibility that Ronaldo will crown himself the highest international goal scorer in the world.
