What a spectacular PPV we just witnessed! Hell in a Cell lived up to its hype and delivered some fantastic matches. The opening tag team bout between New Day and the Usos blew the roof off Little Caesars Arena. However, the major shock of the night came in the final match when miraculously Sami Zayn assisted Kevin Owens.
After a mindblowing and gruesome match between Kevin Owens and Shane Mcmahon, it was Sami Zayn that made the maximum impact. Just when Shane was able to drive a elbow into Owens, Sami pulled his friend-turned enemy out of harm’s way. The entire arena was shocked considering the bitter history between both of them.
Background
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens had been best friends until the former won the NXT Championship. Kevin Owens had betrayed him by power slamming him onto the ring apron and they continued battling back and forth since then. This was one of the best feuds of the decade with the amazing ring chemistry evident between the two.
However, all this changed at Hell in a Cell. Sami Zayn appeared out of nowhere and helped Owens get away with a dive. He would then proceed to push him to get a pin over Shane Mcmahon whilst paramedics attended to him.
Possible reason why Sami Zayn assisted Kevin Owens
While nothing can be ascertained till Tuesday’s episode of Smackdown Live, it seems to be a swerve for the upcoming Survivor Series. It might be the case that Sami Zayn would have got tired of being overlooked in the ‘land of opportunity’. He teaming up with frenemy Kevin Owens also looks like possibility now.

Another hint of an upcoming feud was given by AJ Styles during the episode of Talking Smack following Hell in the Cell. He made it clear that he has Shane Mcmahon’s back if he needed to fight both the Canadian superstars.
Though its too early to confirm, this feud looks pretty certain to blow up into something epic. The WWE Universe would be out of their seats if this resulted in a traditional Survivor Series match on November 19.
