Sami Zayn Night of Champions 2023

After delivering an entertainer in Puerto Rico, WWE is all set for its second pay-per-view of the month. On May 27, the company will be in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for this year’s Night of Champions. The event will see Seth Rollins and AJ Styles fighting to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. In fact, Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar are also scheduled to go one-on-one on the show. However, there are suspicions about a big name missing from the Saudi event. Fans wonder if Sami Zayn will appear at Night of Champions 2023.

Since signing a 10-year strategic deal in 2018, WWE has held over half a dozen pay-per-views in Saudi Arabia. However, The Honorary Uce hasn’t been a part of any of them. Sami, who is of Syrian descent, has opted out of every Saudi Arabia show because of the dying relations between the two nations.

Will Sami Zayn be a part of the 2023 Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia?

Syria and Saudia Arabia haven’t been on good terms ever since the latter cut off its diplomatic relations with the former in 2012. However, last month, both nations decided to reopen their embassies and resume airline flights.

And after over 12 years, Syria was readmitted into the Arab League earlier this month. In fact, the kingdom announced that it will resume its diplomatic mission in Syria. According to the state-run Saudi Press Agency, per CNN.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided to resume the work of its diplomatic mission in the Syrian Arab Republic…”

Well, the whole thing is good news for not just Saudi and Syria, but also the WWE fans. Both nations sorting out their issues means that the once upon a time Honorary Uce can make appearances in the Saudi shows.

So, the answer to the above question is, Yes, Sami Zayn will appear at Night of Champions 2023. In fact, he, alongside Kevin Owens, is going to put his undisputed tag team title on the line on the show.

Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens are scheduled to defend their gold against Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa

The recent edition of SmackDown Live saw WWE setting up a big match for its upcoming PPV in Saudi. Roman Reigns and his entire Bloodline were featured in an interesting segment. The Tribal Chief scolded The Usos for letting him down twice, and then, revealed a shocker.

Paul Heyman announced that the twin brothers are no longer going to pursue the tag team gold. The job will instead be done by The Tribal Chief and the Enforcer. Night of Champions 2023, in Saudi Arabia, will feature Sami Zayn and KO versus Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa for the undisputed tag team titles.

Nevertheless, Night of Champions 2023 is the first Saudi pay-per-view with Sami Zayn on the card. Though considering his opponents, he might have to fight hard to emerge victorious. However, for fans, it will be a treat to see The Honorary Uce and The Tribal Chef in the same ring.
