Predicted XI for India vs Sri Lanka 2nd T20
The Sri Lankan team will be quite disappointed with their tour to India this time round. While they have shown some improvement by winning the 1st encounter of both the Test series and the ODI series, they have been lacking that ‘killer instinct’, something that is absolutely essential when you are up against a superior opponent.
Sri Lanka had come in with plans, executed them well, but couldn’t quite carry the momentum for long periods in the series.
India have successfully won the Test series (2-0), ODI series (2-1) and are just an incisive stroke away from pulling off a T20 series win as well.
It is crystal clear that India are the better team on paper and they would be vying to close out the series tonight in Indore in order to give their bench a fair run in the 3rd T20 in Mumbai
In other words, Sri Lanka gained nothing much other than their heroics in the opening ODI encounter. India, on the other hand, have been clinical during crucial junctures in the series.
Predicted XI for India:
Rohit Sharma (c), KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, MS Dhoni, Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Jaydev Unadkat
Predicted XI for Sri Lanka:
Niroshan Dickwella, Upul Tharanga, Kusal Perera, Angelo Mathews, Asela Gunaratne, Thisara Perera (c), Dasun Shanaka, Sachith Pathirana, Chaturanga de Silva, Nuwan Pradeep, Dushmanth Chameera.
