PSG Supporter Arrested After Setting Off Fire Alarm At Barcelona’s Team Hotel In Paris

The person in question decided to indulge in the shenanigans to irk Barcelona

Despite holding a colossal 4-1 lead heading into the second round of their round of 16 showdown with Barcelona in the Champions League, PSG are far from well rested ahead of the matchup.

Its down to the traversity which occurred for the club back in 2017 with the side letting slip of a colossal lead to be downed by Barcelona. In a bid to avoid the same narrative, the side is taking an extremely cautious approach ahead of today’s contest.

And the home side is getting all the support it needs from its boisterous supporters. Despite not being allowed to watch the clash in the stadium owing to stringent COVID norms in France, PSG’s vociferous supporters made their presence felt ahead of the tie.

PSG Supporter Sets Off Fire Alarm

It all started off with scores of PSG supporters setting off a multitude of fireworks outside the team hotel where Barcelona are nestled in Paris. The fireworks continued late into the night in a bid to rankle Barcelona and leave the club’s squad rattled.

However, the shenanigans didn’t just curtail over there with one PSG supporter deciding to take things up a level. The supporter ended up staying at the hotel to set off the fire alarm inside the premises at 5 am once the fireworks had eased off.

While he was subsequently arrested for his antics, he managed to succeed in further irking Barcelona’s travelling squad. The set of events which unravelled are said to be in retaliation to the unsavoury treatment PSG were meted out when they took on Barcelona in Spain.

However, PSG’s resolve wasn’t shaken in the least with the club running rings around Barcelona on the night. The team battered the La Liga club 4-1 on the day, a win which was crafted by Kylian Mbappe who ended up netting a hattrick on the night.

PSG will be striving to dish out a spitting image of that triumph as the club looks to seal its passage into the quarter-finals of the 2020-21 edition of the Champions League.
