And looking to make the game as expansive as possible, the governing council handed out official rankings to all the countries playing the T20 country, making each encounter contested between these sides an international T20. Ever since then, these 5 upcoming countries from Asia have been engaging in several competitive international competitions to tune their skill set.
The qualification event starts today in Singapore with the hosts taking on Qatar in the opener in the one week long tournament which will see each of the five sides played against each other once.
