Racing Point Force India clarify team name in a hilarious post
Racing Point Force India came into being after Force India was sent into administration and was brought out of it by Lawrence Stroll led consortium.
Now, because a new team had to be registered, Lawrence Stroll and co. had to come up with a new name for the team. Racing Point Force India was agreed upon and since then the team has stuck with that name.
However, with the new season coming up, Racing Point Force India has done away with ‘Force India’ in their name for the time being, before they come up with their final name for the 2019 season.
“It is just a place holder to indicate future change which will take place and be announced before the 2019 season,” team principal Szafnauer said in an interview.

So, a new team name is still in the offing and fans are coming up with weird names for Racing Point of chose from.
So much so that, Racing Point actually came up with a post asking people to stop coming up with new names for the team and confirming that they weren’t going to go ahead with Teamy McTeamyFace.
Racing Point @ForceIndiaF1 should decide their new name in an open internet poll. I mean – what could possibly go wrong?
