Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain are prepared to battle out for Raphael Varane.

Zinedine Zidane has already made his intentions public about the necessity to make multiple transfers in the summer transfer window. The Los Blancos failed to replace their record goalscorer, Cristiano Ronaldo, last summer and failed to a large extent.

Florentino Perez is set to meet the demands of Zinedine Zidane in the forthcoming summer by trying to luring in first-choice players to the club. Reports quote that the reigning Champions League winners have set their eye on Paul Pogba, Eden Hazard, Kylian Mbappe, and Adrien Rabiot in a 400 million spending spree after the conclusion of this season.

In order to pursue their targets, the Los Blancos are ought to sell some of their stars to avoid Financial Fair Play (FFP) problems. Their defender Raphael Varane could be on his way out of the club despite the willingness of Zidane to keep him. The Frenchman had hinted that he would hunt for a new challenge after an eight-year stay at Santiago Bernabeu.

Studying his plan to leave Real Madrid, Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain have made initial enquiries for the World Cup winner, according to the English outlet The Independent. Both the clubs are seeking a centre-back, as they try to prioritize that area in the summer window.

The report adds on that Raphael Varane is second in the list behind the English International Jadon Sancho. The 25-year-old had been a key member of the squad which has won four Champions League titles in five years, and previously viewed as unsellable by the Los Blancos.

Even though Real Madrid will be reluctant to see him go, the need for a revamp could tempt the prospect of selling Varane to any particular suitor. A willingness to let Varane go to PSG could prove to be successful in their hopes of pursuing either Neymar or Kylian Mbappe.

The Los Blancos will aim to sell him for a fee of 150 million euros if they are forced to cash in on him. Besides, Raphael Varane, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Harry Maguire are the other two players on the Red Devils radar.
