Ravichandran Ashwin responds to 'Mankand' jibe at him by Rajasthan Royals

Ravichandran Ashwin responds to the ‘Mankand’ jibe made at him by IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals, with the new IPL season coming close.

Ravichandran Ashwin surrounded himself around huge controversy after he mankaded Jos Butler during a match between KXIP and Rajasthan Royals.

Since then, the incident has become a significant part of Ashwin’s career and almost after a year, people on social media are not ready to forget that night. This time, it was Rajasthan Royals which brought highlight to the incident.

On the occasion of Christmas, one fan took it to social media to troll Ashwin. He posted a picture of a box with cricket balls on which ‘Mankad’ was written. He captioned: “My gift to Ashwin for Christmas.”

The social media handle of Rajasthan Royals shared the post by the fan and replied, “No points for guessing who is adding this to their cart for #IPL2020,”

On the other hand, Ashwin has openly defended his act last year and bravely takes up the jokes against himself over the incident. The Indian spinner once again does that and responds to the IPL franchise.

“Might well be a good collection for the non-strikers who meander along. Good banter nevertheless. Wish you all a happy 2020,” he wrote.
