Ravindra Jadeja run-out vs New Zealand: Watch Indian all-rounder rockets direct-hit from boundary to dismiss Ross Taylor

Ravindra Jadeja run-out vs New Zealand: The Indian all-rounder once again proved his fielding credentials with a magnificent effort.

During the first semi-final of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between India and New Zealand at Old Trafford, India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja proved his mettle on the field as he dismissed veteran New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor to save some vital runs for him team.

It all happened on the last delivery of the 48th over when Taylor clipped a Jasprit Bumrah delivery towards deep mid-wicket. The Kiwi batsman was found wanting in his attempt to runs the second run.

Jadeja, who was fielding at deep mid-wicket, ran in from his position to rocket a direct-hit at the batsman’s end to find Taylor short of his crease. The Indian players’ celebrations in addition to Taylor not waiting for the third umpire’s decision had given enough hints of the result.

Taylor, who had come in to bat at No. 4 in the 19th over yesterday, ended up scoring his 50th ODI half-century. While he might have been criticized for his strike rate, Taylor’s knock played a vital role in New Zealand posting 239/8 in their allotted quota of 50 overs.

Top-scoring for New Zealand, Taylor scored 74 (90) with the help of three fours and a six. With bowling figures of 10-1-43-3, India fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the pick of the bowlers for his team. All the other Indian bowlers picked up a wicket each.
