Kohli posts glimpses of first practice session with RCB: The RCB captain has shared pictures of first practice session with his IPL team.

Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has posted glimpses of his first practice session with his team ahead of the 12th season of the IPL.

Kohli took to his social media platforms to post a few photos a video of him batting against the spinners and fielding at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

While he is witnessed as batting against the likes of all-rounders Pawan Negi and Moeen Ali in the video, he is watched as honing his fielding skills in the photos.

IPL 2019 will be Kohli’s seventh year as a regular captain for Royal Challengers. He is the only player who has played for only franchise since the inception of IPL in 2008. Having yet to become part of a winning squad at RCB, the 30-year old cricketer would be desperately looking to lift the title this year.

“Don’t see myself playing for any other franchise”

Talking about Royal Challengers not being able to make things happen during crunch situations over the year, Kohli let it out on making poor decisions and not merely bad luck as the reason.

“The [RCB’s] failure lies where decisions aren’t made properly. If I sit here and say our luck was bad, that won’t be right. You make your own luck, and if you make poor decisions and the other team makes good ones, you will lose.

“When we played big matches too, our decision-making wasn’t right. When your decision-making is spot on and balanced, those teams win the IPL. The teams that are more relaxed, don’t take the pressure too much, and take good decisions in pressure moments – they should get the credit for winning,” Kohli was quoted as saying during the launch of RCB’s new app in Bengaluru.

Expressing his loyalty for the franchise, the skipper ended up saying that he doesn’t see himself leaving or playing for any other franchise. “To me, it [playing for RCB] has been a most special experience. I don’t see myself leaving or playing for any other franchise,” Kohli added.
