RCB vs SRH Preview

RCB vs SRH Preview: The Sportsrush presents before you full preview of the 54th match of IPL 2019 between Royal Challengers and Sunrisers.

The last double-header Saturday of this IPL will see Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad battle it out in their last league match. RCB are out of the competition and would want to spoil Sunrisers’ chances of making it to the playoffs. There is nothing more dangerous than a team with nothing to lose.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, have to try and win this one to almost definitely secure the 4 th berth in the playoffs. With the highest net run rate, SRH would be the favourites to make it to the playoffs if more than 1 team reaches 14 points.

However, if they lose this one, they would have to hope than KKR and KXIP lose at least 1 match and end up on 12 points while RR lose to DC in the first match on Saturday.

Form Guide

RCB have done well towards the end of the IPL and have managed to win 3 of their last 5 matches with 1 loss and 1 match yielding no result. They have now lost Marcus Stoinis owing to the national duty. However, Virat Kohli’s men would want to end on a high by displaying a prolific performance with both bat and ball.

Sunrisers Hyderabad would be mighty upset to have lost their previous match in a Super Over. They have now lost 3 of their last 4 matches. They need to try and better their performance.

The absence of Warner and Bairstow means that Williamson will have to step up. Manish Pandey’s form is the biggest positive for SRH currently. Their bowling form is great as usual.

Team Changes

RCB will not look to make too many changes to their team as they would want to try out players like Khejroliya and Klaasen a bit more before deciding their auction strategy for next year. Marcus Stoinis has left for Australia and that probably means that Colin de Grandhomme would make it to the playing XI after a long time.

Sunrisers would want to play their best playing XI tonight. However, it remains to be seen if they themselves know what that would be. Considering they almost pulled off their last match which went down to the Super Over, SRH might go in with an unchanged team for their last league match.

Pitch and Weather Prediction

The Bengaluru pitch has blown hot and cold this season. However, we can expect a high-scoring encounter here once again if the bowlers fail to bowl the right lengths on this track. With an average score of over 180, we could witness one last show of fireworks from Kohli and de Villiers before they bid adieu to IPL 12.

A couple of days back, we watched a game being washed out at Bengaluru. There is a small chance of the same happening again with a strong cloud cover over Bengaluru and a chance of rainfall during the night.

The temperature will remain around 27°C and should remain comfortable. An abandoned match here would mean SRH need KKR and KXIP to not reach 14 points at any cost.

Toss Prediction

The team winning the toss should look to bat first on this pitch and out the runs on the board. Due to the cloud cover, there is very little chance of any dew. If the pitch slows down later, the team batting first will have a distinct advantage.
