Spanish reports pin Real Madrid to make 3 signings before the summer transfer window closes, after their 4-2 loss against Atletico Madrid.

Fresh out of the UEFA Super Cup 4-2 thrashing by the legs of arch nemesis Atletico Madrid, Real are now looking to sign in atleast three players before the transfer window closes at the end of this month.

According to Jose Luis Sanchez, the Madrid based journalist, the European kings are looking to bring in the German sensation, Timo Werner in for their current number 9, Karim Benzema. Werner was a ion constant sensation for RB Leipzig last season.

Ever since Cristiano Ronaldo left Madrid for Turin there have been endless speculations as to whether or not Real would bring in new players or not. While the fans can’t help but think they should, the club has actually not made the most of the transfer window so far with Thibaut Courtois being the only major signing yet.

The Los Blancos also signed Alvaro Odriozola in from Real Sociedad. But the 22-year old right-back is hardly an answer for Madrid problems up front that were on show up against their derby rivals.

The summer transfer window has been a rather difficult one for Real Madrid to endure, as the fans also oversaw the departure of Zinedine Zidane. The French manager’s resignation came as a shock, as it happened merely nine days after Zidane lifted his third consecutive Champions League title with Real Madrid.

The speculation of Luka Modric leaving for Inter Milan continues to persist, with the Serie A club’s manager admitting to their interest in the midfielder. There hasn’t been a strong approach from the either side, however.
