Real Madrid Transfer News: Frankfurt director makes huge official statement on Jovic's transfer | Luka Jovic Transfer

Fredi Bobic has made a huge claim about Luka Jovic’s transfer away from Eintracht Frankfurt.

Luka Jovic is one of the exciting talents in Europe currently. The Serbian International spent a one-year loan deal from Benfica, which was eventually made permanent after triggering the clause. Eintracht Frankfurt have bought him for a measly €7 million, but he could cost nearly 10 times as the original transfer fee from Benfica.

The 21-year-old has made 48 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 27 times and assisting five times. It was an overwhelming season for the striker after showing glimpses of his talent last term.

Club’s board member Fredi Bobic has claimed that the club could bid adieu to their front three – Ante Rebic, Luka Jovic, and Sebastian Haller in the summer transfer window. He added that it’s not down to the financial troubles, but the decisions which had to be made irrespective.

“We don’t even have to sell one of them for financial reasons. But if you look at it reasonably, everything can happen. Of course we could lose all three of them,” Bobic told Bild and added:

“At some point, other forces will come into play. This has nothing to do with deciding against Eintracht for them. Sometimes, it’s not just about the transfer fee. But of course we’re participating a lot in this.

“What’s also nice for Eintracht is that we’re dealing with such sums of money. That’s something you can live on and invest in the future.”

Initially, Barcelona were tipped to sign him, but, now, Real Madrid have jumped over their archrivals for his signature. He also attracted interest from Chelsea, but plenty of outlets reported that the Los Blancos are close to securing him for a fee of €60 million. There is no denial from Frankfurt’s part and they will be hoping for an auction.

Here’s how Twitter reacted..

What’s next?

If Real Madrid bid around 60 million in the summer transfer window, they should secure his services.
