Real Madrid Transfer News: Man Utd target offered to Los Blancos by club chairman. Slashes price by half to secure the move in the ongoing transfer season.
Manchester United have been looking to overhaul their midfield after the departures of Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini this summer. They have been linked with multiple midfielders but are yet to sign one. United will however have to make a move soon or they might miss out on their summer targets.

According to reports from Spain, United may be on the verge of losing on of their targets. Spanish publication Marca have reported that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has offered Christian Eriksen to Real Madrid.
The Madrid side were keen to bring the Danish playmaker at Santiago Bernabeu last year. However, Levy was adamant that Eriksen would not be sold for any lower than £135 million.

That decision has come to haunt him as Eriksen has now refused to sign a contract renewal and will be out of the club by next summer at the latest. Levy does not want to lose him on a free and has slashed his price by more than half in an attempt to get something out of Eriksen.
Real Madrid look elsewhere
However, Real Madrid have reportedly turned down the £62mmillion offer. They have already spent more over £300 million this summer and are still in the hunt for Manchester United’s Paul Pogba and Ajax’s Donny van de Beek. With both their targets costly prospects, Madrid do not have the funds to spare for the Tottenham Star.

With Tottenham desperate to shift Eriksen and PSG likely to join the race for the attacking midfielder, United will have to make its move soon. Lest Eriksen leaves for the French capital in the coming weeks. Unless the Dane runs down his contract at Tottenham so not to jeopardize his move to Madrid.
