Robert Kubica hilarious trolls Williams for its lack of pace
Robert Kubica’s return to F1 is a fairytale like none other. After having suffered that horrific rally accident, not many would have expected Robert Kubica to return to the sport.
But here is, driving that famous Williams car, an experience that he has worked for extremely hard ever since his unfortunate accident.
Williams, however, are struggling big time. Having not been able to put their car out on track during the first two days of testing, Williams seem to be staring down the barrel with respect to pace and performance this season.
The drivers and the team haven’t sounded optimistic at all about the new season, and it seems like this is going to be one long season for Robert Kubica, George Russell and all Williams fans.
And, Kubica did not waste time in actually taking a hilarious dig at Williams for its lack of pace this season.
When asked what he felt about the new rule of a point to be awarded to the driver and constructor who have the fastest lap on raceday, Kubica with a straight face said that unfortunately the rule does not directly affect them this season.
“I think unfortunately it doesn’t affect us a lot.” Robert Kubica said.
“At least for now. But yeah, extra point. It can unlock some strange scenarios at the end of the race with some cars pitting and it will open up. We’ll see three, four cars suddenly coming in. It will depend. It will be a kind of domino. But as I said, I was not really interested about it.” he added.
Kubica’s prediction did come into play today, as both Williams drivers were reeling at the bottom of the pack in both FP1 and FP2.

Williams are way off pace and will need some massive developments during the season to get off that last place.
Do you think Williams can script a miracle through the season?
