Rodrigo De Paul got an embarrassing  tackle by a pigeon during a match against Venezuela in the quarter-final round of the Copa America.

Argentina advanced to the semi-finals of the Copa America through a comfortable score line of 2-0 against Venezeula. However, Argentina’s Rodrigo De Paul had an uncomfortable moment on the field, when he was tripped down by a pigeon.

The 25-year-old player was trying to keep a hold on the ball against two players from the opposition, when the Udinese star got an interruption by a pigeon on the field.

Thus, Rodrigo fell down on the pitch, when the uninvited guest came on the way of Rodrigo. The pigeon later flew, as soon as the match ball rolled over it.

It was surely an embarrassing sight for the Argentine International, who did not see this coming, before thinking of giving a further lead to Argentina with his heroic dribble.

Although, the plans to attack were spoiled but Argentina went onto win the tie any way, and will now play against Brazil in the semi-final clash of the tournament.

The ridiculous incident has left the fans laughing over the internet, and are now appreciating the defensive abilities of the pigeon, as the Argentine International was not able to react, even though, he spotted the bird right in front of him.

Argentine contingent to the Copa America had a rough start to the campaign, but started to obtain results gradually. The South American side were thought to not even reach to the second round of the competition but are now in the semi-finals against their fiercest rivals-Brazil.
