Roger Federer gets ditched by his wife, provides the Rod Laver Arena with some humour
Roger Federer schooled the Hungarian, Fucsovics, in the 4th round of the Australian Open, getting through in straight sets and marching into the Quarter-Finals.
While the match was entertaining enough, Federer came up with a lot of entertainment for the onlookers in the on-court interview, including his wife in the conversation as well.
Jim Courier in his very ‘Jim Courier way’ asked Federer’s plans after the match, as he would be having the evening to himself(because it was a Day match).
Federer told him that he would be busy until 9pm and then might step out for some dinner with Mirka.
Having said that, Federer turned to his box, checking on whee Mirka was, but to his surprise found her to be missing. Federer then very cheekily said that his dinner plans had probably taken a hit, now that Mirka had already left.
Crowd went berserk after Federer took this ‘sly dig’ at his wife, all in good humour though.

Whether Federer could catch that dinner with Mirka is still a mystery, but one things is for sure, Federer looks on course for that 20th, now that Nadal and Djokovic have been ousted.
Federer faces Tomas Berdych in the quarter-finals today, vying to play that semi-final against Chung on Friday.
