Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku was furious with his Manchester United team mates after their defeat to Chelsea last week.
Lukaku barley had any influence in the game and did not have a single touch in the Chelsea penalty box. The striker, who chose Manchester United over Chelsea in the summer, was angry that his team mates did not create any chances for him to score.
After the full time whistle, Lukaku made his feelings clear in the dressing room as he lambasted the players for their lack of service to him during the match. This also marked the seventh straight game that Lukaku had gone goal less, as the Belgian is clearly feeling the pressure at the moment.

After a superb start to his Manchester United career, Lukaku has struggled in recent weeks drawing criticism from media and pundits alike. Jose Mourinho however was in no mood to listen to these critics as he was pleased with Lukaku’s contribution in the matches.
‘I’m not reading stats, I’m reading the game,’ the United manager said. ‘From the bench, it’s a different perspective, not mathematical. I’m happy with his methods, his attitude and his desire. ‘He had a chance with a good shot which the goalkeeper saved. ‘He gave space in the last part of the game, created spaces for [Anthony] Martial and [Marcus] Rashford. I’m happy and I don’t want to look at the stats.’
With the coach backing him, Lukaku should not feel too low as he knows that he will get chances in the future. The return of Pogba will also help change things as he will bring creativity in the middle of the park for United.
Let’s hope for Manchester United’s sake that Lukaku finds his scoring boots quickly.
