Royal Challengers Bangalore Team 2019

Royal Challengers Bangalore Team 2019: The Sportsrush presents before you RCB’s Predicted Playing 11 for their 13th match of IPL 2019 vs SRH.

A season that folded its curtains the last time around the Royal Challengers Bangalore took to the field, all they have left to play for is pride. After the match against the Rajasthan Royals ended in a no result, RCB became the first side to officially end their campaign.

While RCB can’t make it to the top 4 themselves, what they can do here is ruin SRH’s chances of reaching the knock-out stages. Virat Kohli and company will be massively hurting after failing to make it to the top 4 for a third straight season. Fully expect them to show perseverance and put on a resolute performance in the second match on Saturday.

RCB Top-order

The one area where RCB have always been able to bank upon, the top-order has been a flawless aspect for the side. Parthiv Patel’s form has been something that has surprised us all with the wicket-keeper time and time again coming up with the runs.

On the other hand, while we’ve seen glimpses of Virat Kohli, he’s lacked the consistency that he’s become associated with so often now. A season that much like his side has blown hot and cold for him, the exemplary batsman would be looking to sign off with a flourish and stamp his authority.

Following in number 3 will be perhaps one of the finest equipped shorter format batsmen. Renowned for having in his artillery a skill set that can see the ball go anywhere in the park, AB de Villiers will be dynamic and diligent on a surface that will favour his style of batting.

RCB Middle-order

Colin de Grandhomme should finally get a place in the side, a selection that should for once see RCB manage to replace Moeen Ali. With Heinrich Klassen following in at number 5, RCB’s middle-order all of a sudden looks much more stable. It will take on an identity that can hold the ship for RCB while at the same time ensure that runs come in profoundly for them.

It’s the lower middle-order which continues to see the side have massive aberrations. Shivam Dube, Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Washington Sundar are all names who have endured a harsh time in the tournament, not just this season but ever since they’ve been picked. RCB would be wishing the top-order can bat out the majority of overs and amass a bagful of runs for the side.

RCB Bowlers

The pace battery is something that has persistently pushed RCB back. After Dale Steyn, Nathan Coulter-Nile and Tim Southee all suffered injuries, RCB have been left trying to cover over the cracks. With no one left to turn out, we should see Umesh Yadav and Navdeep get playing time yet again.

The spin department will see Yuzvendra Chahal be given the four overs of the slower stuff. While he does get wickets, he is also someone who goes for massive runs. It’s not a bowling department that induces too much confidence especially on a surface that will be low, dry and offer nothing to the bowlers.
