RR vs KKR Playing 11: KKR Predicted Playing 11 for today’s match vs RR | IPL 2019
KKR Predicted Playing 11 for today’s match vs RR: The Sportsrush presents before you KKR’s Predicted Playing 11 for their sixth match of IPL 2019.
The Kolkata Knight Riders have one man to thank for their position on the points table. Andre Russell has wowed every single person with his brute force and unbelievable shots. People have gone on to call Russell alien.
However, this can be both a good and a bad thing for KKR. They can get complacent and not work on their weak areas. Their bowling needs to improve a lot if they want to win the IPL. Andre will not fire in every match and the entire team needs to understand that very well.
The middle order also needs to quicken their rate of scoring runs and not be dependent on one man only. The Jaipur pitch will help the KKR bowlers and they should try to make the most of it.
KKR Predicted Playing 11 for today’s match vs RR
Top-order
Chris Lynn getting in to form with a well-paced 43 would come as a huge sigh of relief for captain Dinesh Karthik. Lynn would look to replicate this performance at Jaipur as well and give KKR a good start alongside Sunil Narine. Narine has hit a few big ones but he would like to not get dismissed cheaply as he has so far.
Robin Uthappa has been getting good starts and he should look to play the role of an anchor and guide the junior middle order batsmen around him. He is definitely due for a big one.

Middle-order
The KKR middle order is extremely stable and solid. All the players have contributed in most of the matches and there is no question of making any changes here. Nitish Rana, Dinesh Karthik, Shubman Gill and of course, the man with the muscle, Andre Russell would round up the middle order.
Shubman has got limited opportunities but looking at the team combinations, it seems tough to promote Gill up the order. Rana will look to continue his sublime form. Dinesh Karthik must look at pacing his knock a bit better.
Bowlers
This department is the main concern for KKR with too many frontline bowlers leaking too many runs consistently. They need to bowl much better especially in the Powerplay overs. KKR has just picked up 3 wickets in the powerplay overs this season.
Prasidh Krishna has been bowling well and putting in the effort without much luck. He would want to make an impact soon. Lockie Ferguson has been lethal in some of the matches but equally expensive (10.42 runs per over). He really needs to control the run flow. KKR have the option of fielding Harry Gurney, the Englishman but Lockie’s extra pace might be useful at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium.
Hence, he is expected to maintain his spot. Piyush Chawla and Kuldeep Yadav have performed decently but they would look to get more wickets at critical junctures. Sunil Narine would need to contribute more with the ball as well by being economical and also, getting a few scalps here and there.
KKR Predicted Playing 11 for today’s match vs RR – 1) Chris Lynn 2) Sunil Narine 3) Robin Uthappa 4) Nitish Rana 5) Dinesh Karthik 6) Shubman Gill 7) Andre Russell 8) Piyush Chawla 9) Kuldeep Yadav 10) Prasidh Krishna 11) Lockie Ferguson
