Rust Bow Genshin Impact: The Rust Bow is one of the more unique bows in Teyvat. But, is it as good as the hype says, & where can you find it?
Genshin Impact is one of the trendiest games to have come out in a while. With over 17 million downloads in its first four days, it has already found itself in the big boys club. The character-based RPG is addictive and relaxing to play. However, for those of you already playing the game, you’re probably aware of how important good weapons are to ease progress. One such weapon that has been making headlines over the last few days is the Rust Bow.
What is the Rust Bow in Genshin Impact?
The Rust Bow is a 4-star bow, which as per its in-game description goes, is full of rust. The in-game info also says that it is very unwieldy, so unwieldy in fact, that an average being cannot lift it alone. Now, most of that is just talk so let’s get down to business.
As a weapon what makes the Rust Bow special is its normal attack advantage. Unlike the normal bows in the game which do more damage with aimed shots, the Rust Bow’s case is the opposite. So, the Rust Bow has a passive which increases its normal attack damage by 40% but decrease the aimed attack damage by 10%. It is this passive that makes the Rust bow really stand out. It grants an incentive to use normal attacks which most other bows in the game don’t.
As far as stats go, its base attack at level one is 42. Its secondary stat is base attack while its secondary stat at level 1 is 9%.

Where to find it? Is spending money on it worth it?
Contrary to what many popular articles on the Internet claim, there are no fixed drops for the Rust Bow in-game at the moment. So, unless you get lucky, the only way to get it quickly is from your wishes.
However, ideally, we’d want to advise against it for the average Joe. That’s because though the Rust Bow is a great bow, it is far from the best. There are loads of good alternatives out there, at least some of which you’re bound to get lucky and find. Visit this article to find out all about them. Moreover, progress in the game is eased with some weapons but isn’t dependent on them. So, you really don’t need a Rust Bow or any 5-star weapon to do well. Just learn the game properly and that’s it.
We say this also because as a 4-star weapon, the chances of getting the Rust Bow after a few rolls are still pretty shady. You may easily end up rolling 5-6 times and spending much more than needed. So, unless you can afford to spend with no pressure and need to get it at any cost, buying it isn’t advisable.
